Operations Director

Position: Operations Director

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 

Position Summary:  The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of NATIFS, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. The Operations Director works with the Executive Director and other members of the leadership team to set the organization’s strategic goals.  Provide leadership oversight and administrative direction to finance, communications, and facilities maintenance functions.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success leading and implementing collaborating teams
  • Demonstrated comprehension of non-profit operating best practices
  • Experience supporting the development of decolonized environments
  • Demonstrated collaborative style; cultural competency; and effective relationship building;
  • Ability to position operating functions at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently and completing on time
  • Demonstrated success in working effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to easily adapt to change
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization and managing vendor contracts 
  • Provide a strong executive presence and ability to interact with Board members.
  •  Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Working Conditions: Moderate noise level, occasional exposure to prevalent weather conditions.
  • Will involve regular presence at the Minneapolis location.

*English speaking, conversational Spanish preferred, with knowledge of Indigenous language value
