Sam Kelcher is currently pursuing his BS in Biochemistry at St. Thomas University, with a minor in sustainability. Indigenous food systems are what he calls a “perfect” system of sustainability, and he says that he has enjoyed taking his six-year background in the food industry to the Indigenous Food Lab, where he works on the culinary team putting together soups and helping carry out daily operations.
Born in Hudson, WI, Sam enjoyed visiting the Twin Cities before moving here to pursue his studies. He loves live music and is an avid concertgoer. He also enjoys the local brewery scene and works at a brewing company on the weekends.
During his spare time, Sam enjoys spending time with his dog, as well as cooking, weight lifting, and playing fantasy football.
